Perlick Announces Winner of #HowDoYouPerlick Design Contest
Perlick, the industry’s leading authority on refrigeration performance, recently announced the winner of its #HowDoYouPerlick Design Contest at the Kitchen and Bath Industry Show (KBIS), held January 19 – 21, 2016, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Richard Thomas Anuszkiewicz of Alt Breeding Schwarz Architects, in Annapolis, Maryland, was selected the winner for his “Cart Before the Horse” Bar Cart. Featuring the new Perlick Signature Series Dual-Zone Freezer/Refrigerator Drawers, Anuszkiewicz’s design was a literal take on the expression, “putting the cart before the horse”. Custom wood door overlays, a leather countertop and gold accents in the hardware, sink and faucet were accented with an equestrian print to transform a traditional bar cart into a luxe, entertaining space.
For his winning design, Anuszkiewicz will receive Perlick product of his choice. The #HowDoYouPerlick Design Contest tasked the design community to design a vignette highlighting Perlick Refrigeration and Beverage Dispensers in each of the following categories: kitchen, outdoor,
The #HowDoYouPerlick Design Contest tasked the design community to design a vignette highlighting Perlick Refrigeration and Beverage Dispensers in each of the following categories: kitchen, outdoor, entertainment and rest of home. From the entries received, four finalists had their designs built into the Perlick booth at KBIS. In addition to Anuszkiewicz, the finalists included: Michele Alfano from MODmadeNY Studio, Patricia Davis Brown, NCIDQ, CKD, CBD of Patricia Davis Brown Designs LLC and Rose Dostal, AIA, ASID of RMD Designs LLC.
“We were thrilled with the designs from each of the finalists,” said Tim Ebner, vice president of marketing and business development, Perlick. “Each vignette told a story. When you walked into our booth at KBIS, you had a distinct sense of the person who lived there and how they utilized the Perlick products featured in it. Whether it was a glamourous Zen credenza, a charred bar or a kitchen to wet your whistle, you could experience the versatility of our refrigeration and beverage products and the many places where you can use it in the home, both indoors and out.”
The winner of the #HowDoYouPerlick Design Contest was determined following a popular vote during KBIS 2016. After touring the Perlick booth, attendees voted in their favorite design. The winner was announced during a ceremony on Wednesday, January 20, 2016.
